Moral Values of the Qur'an

The 'Test' in the life of this world
“You shall certainly be tried and tested in your wealth and properties and in your personal selves, and you shall certainly hear much that will grieve you from those who received the Scripture before you (Jews and Christians) and from those who ascribe partners to Allah; but if you persevere patiently, and become Al-Muttaqun (the pious) then verily, that will be a determining factor in all affairs.” The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 3, Verse 186

“And know that your possessions and your children are but a trial and that surely, with Allah is a mighty reward.” The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 8, Verse 28
Allah tests each one of us with things that are within our reach
“O you who believe! Allah will certainly make a trial of you with something in (the matter of) the game that is well within the reach of your hands and your lances, that Allah may test who fears Him unseen. Then whoever transgresses thereafter, for him there is a painful torment.” The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 5, Verse 94
When will we be paid for our actions in this world?
“Everyone shall taste death. And only on the Day of Resurrection shall you be paid your wages in full. And whoever is removed away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise, he indeed is successful. The life of this world is only the enjoyment of deception (a deceiving thing). The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 3, verse 185
No ones work will be lost
“So their Lord accepted of them (their supplication and answered them), “Never will I allow to be lost the work of any of you, be he male or female. You are (members) one of another, so those who emigrated and were driven out from their homes, and suffered harm in My Cause, and who fought, and were killed (in My Cause), verily, I will expiate from them their evil deeds and admit them into Gardens under which rivers flow (in Paradise); a reward from Allah, and with Allah is the best of rewards.”” The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 3, Verse 195
Each one’s good deed will be doubled
“Surely, Allah wrongs not even of the weight of an atom (or a small ant), but there is any good (done), He doubles it, and gives from Him a great reward.” The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 4, Verse 40
Allah is so Merciful that good deeds will be multiplied and small sins shall be overlooked if you avoid the major sins
“Whoever brings a good deed shall have ten times the like thereof to his credit, and whoever brings an evil deed shall have only the recompense of the like thereof, and they will not be wronged.” The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 6, Verse 160
“If you avoid the great sins which you are forbidden to do, we shall expiate from you your (small) sins, and admit you to a Noble Entrance (i.e., Paradise). The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 4, Verse 31
People whom a Muslim should take care and people whom Allah does not like
“Worship Allah and join none with Him (in worship); and do good
1) To parents,
2) Kinsfolk,
3) Orphans,
4) Al-Masakin (the poor),
5) The neighbor who is near of kin,
6) The neighbor who is a stranger,
7) The companion by your side,
8) The wayfarer (you meet),
9) And those (slaves) whom your right hands possess.
Verily, Allah does not like such as are proud and boastful.”
The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 4, Verse 36
What does Qur’an say about parents?
“And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him. And that you be dutiful to your parents. If one of them or both of them attain old age in your life, say not to them a work of disrespect, nor shout at them but address them in terms of honor.” “And lower unto them the wings of submission and humility through mercy, and say: “My Lord! Bestow on them your Mercy as they did bring me up when I was young.” The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 17, Verse 23-24
We should not make any distinction between messengers
“And those who believe in Allah and His Messengers and make no distinction between any of them (Messengers), We shall give them their rewards; and Allah is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 4,Verse 152
Jesus (pbuh) was neither killed nor crucified
“And because of their saying (in boast), “We killed Messiah ‘Isa (Jesus), son of Maryam(Mary), the Messenger of Allah,” – but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but the resemblance of Isa (Jesus) was put over another man (and they killed that man), and those who differ therein are full of doubts. They have no (certain) knowledge , they follow nothing but conjecture. For surely; they killed him not [i.e ‘Isa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary) pbuh];” The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 4, Verse 157
“But Allah raised him [‘Isa] up. And Allah is Ever All-powerful, All-Wise.” The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 4, Verse 158.
Rebuttal of Jesus being God
“Surely, in disbelief are they who say that Allah is the Messiah, son of Maryam (Mary). Say (O Muhammad (pbuh)) : “Who then has the least power against Allah, if He were to destroy the Messiah, son of Maryam (Mary), his mother, and all those who are on the earth together?” And to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them. He creates what He wills. And Allah is Able to do all things.” The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 5, Verse 17

There is not a grain in the darkness of the earth nor anything fresh or dry, but is written in a Clear Record.” The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 6, Verse 59
“It is He, who takes your souls by night (when you are asleep), and has knowledge of all that you have done by day, then He raises (wakes) you up again that a term appointed (your life period) be fulfilled, then (in the end) unto Him will be your return. Then He will inform you of that which you used to do.” The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 6, Verse 60.
Things Commanded by Allah:
“Say (O Muhammad (pbuh)): Come, I will recite what your Lord has prohibited you from:
1) Join not anything in worship with Him;
2) Be good and dutiful to your parents;
3) Kill not your children because of poverty – We provide sustenance for you and for them;
